Probably the best starting point for jumping right in to doing energetic healing on yourself and others without needing a Reiki attunement or a Qigong Master teaching you all he knows is the excellent book which condenses in one volume the Basic and Advanced Pranic Healing techniques taught by Master Choa Kok Sui.

I have read a LOT of books over the last three years and I have just discovered Bruce Frantzis. I am only half way through the second book and I can't wait to plunge in to the others. The best discussion of what is going on internally with Chi from someone who spent years in the martial arts and studying Qigong, Tai Chi, and Yoga.
